Katherine Bender serves as Associate Legal Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary for the National Conference of Insurance Guaranty Funds (NCIGF), where she focuses on policy development, contract management, and corporate governance. She also provides staff support for NCIGF standing committees and insolvency coordinating committees. Prior to joining NCIGF, Katherine worked as an attorney for the Indiana Department of Child Services, advocating for the welfare and safety of Indiana children and families.

Katherine holds a Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, a Master’s in Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from DePauw University.
