Cathy Braughton-Bazant, Administrator, Oregon Insurance Guaranty Association. Cathy started her insurance career in 1985 as a Worker’s Compensation claims adjuster for the State Accident Insurance Fund (SAIF) in Oregon. After two years, she went to work for Liberty Mutual where she spent more than 28 years in progressively more responsible positions in the claim's operation. After a brief stint being self-employed, Cathy joined the Oregon Insurance Guaranty Association in 2017 as the Administrator. She has been married to her husband Jerry for more than 30 years, and they have 2 adult children, Samantha, and Jake. They also have a very spoiled dog, Wilson. When she's not at work, Cathy enjoys hiking, downhill skiing, and just about anything that involves being outdoors!
